Diamond Quilted Nail Art

I am absolutely loving this nail art! Be warmed though it does require time and patience but it is worth it!!!

The first stage is simple, just paint one coat of your chosen base colour (the colour the stripes will be) and let it dry. Once they are all dry you can start the taping process! (Can be very tricky and fiddley so you may need to use tweezers but make sure all nails are 100% dry) thin tape can be bought online for less than £1 and you get about 10 roles of different colours! Brilliant!!!

Cut a reasonable length of tape and carefully place the tape into your nail to where you wish to place it but leave some tape hanging off the edge of your nail so you can peel it off later, then keep cutting and putting strips onto your nail to eventually created the diamond pattern. Once all th strips are in place, paint over the srips with your other chosen colour (the one that the diamond will be) and make sure you cover all the strips on the nails and the base colour coat.

Once this is done, when the nail varnish you just applied it still wet, carefully peel off the strips starting with the strip you applied last and ended with the strip you applied first

Complete this for all the other nails, once dry apply a top coat and there you have your diamond quilted nail art!!!

Candy cane nails

Everyone has to love christmas nails! Here is one of my christmas nail arts with candy canes!!!!

Start off with a base coat to avoid damaging or standing you're nails then apply two coats of white nail varnish and leave to dry

The next stage is creating your candy cane stripes which can be tricky but I used nail art pens by rio which you can buy online or at Argos. For my candy cane nails I used the first colour on the left and the green one in the picture below.

For the red stripes you can alter the width of the stripes simply by adding more stripes to make them look thicker, I find these nail art pens so easy to use and they give a great effect!!

Once the red stripes are done, you can add the green stripes if your wish to (not all candy canes have green on too) and simply do the same as the red stripes but Inbetween
Once dry apply a top cost to seal the nail and tah-dah! Candy canes nails!!!

Dry marble

Dry marble nails are surprisingly easy!! Just choose a few colours (no more than 5) to marble up! Here's my step my step tutorial on how to create the unique marble effect!

First paint your nails a base colour of your choice

Then once applied but not completely dry  yet, put several large dots on your nails of your chosen colours to look like this (do this quite quickly to avoid the first dot to dry)

Once all your dots are on, grab something to swirl them around, this can be a tooth pick, a hair grip or a dotting tool or anything like that! And go mad! Do whatever pattern or style you want! There are no rules for marble nails!!!

Once that's done you may need to remove some of the nail varnish from the sides as there will be a lot on there so may take a while to dry, this can simply be done by pushing you're finger along the side of you nail to take away the excess, if you don't want mucky nails, ou can use a tissue :)

Once dry, apply a top coat and there you have your unique and creative dry marble nails!!!

Flowers :)

I absolutely love this simple yet effective design, it just brightens up your nails so much!!!

As usual, start with a base coat and your chosen colour. Once that is dry then you can begin to create your flowers!!
To start, using a dotting tool (or hair grip) make 5 dots on your nail in the shape of a flower but make sure they are not touching, and make sure the dots are quite big (enough nail varnish to spread it)

Then with a cocktail stick, carefully pull the nail varnish into the middle...

Then with a different colour make the centre of your flower :)

Flowers done, now to excite it a bit more however you wish! I just added a few dots like this...!

This is such an easy design to do an I just think it looks amazing!
So there you go! A simple but effective nail art design :)

Everybody loves dots!!

I love this gradient dot effect!! And it's so simple to do an with any colours of your choice!!

I started off with 2 coats of my chosen base colour and once that had dried I used a hair grip to create the first layer of gradient dots to create this effect....

Let this layer dry then repeat again with a different colour!!

And again... Let dry and repeat!!!

Once dry, finish with your top coat and there you have gradient dotty nails!!! 😊

The nails are back in animal form!

IOk it's time for the blogs again and I thought I would have to start with one of my favourite nail arts of the summer! A gradient nail with leopard print bows :)

First I started with a white nail... Once that had dried I could start my gradient effect! This was done by using a makeup sponge and applying a layer of one colour then a layer of the other colour on top to create this look...

Then dab it onto your nails ensuring all the nail is covered and you should end up with something like this...

As you can see.. It is very giant so once these have dried, do it all over again and you should end up with something like this!!

          (This was after three coats)

Now time for the animal print bow! I love doing leopard print nails so I fancied doing them in a different style!!
Start of with two dots of your chosen nail varnish (I do this with a hair grip or tooth pick) and shape it to your desired leopard spot shape

Do two more either side but going vertically diagonal like this...

Once dry draw black outlines around them so create the spot effect and it should look something like this....

Add little black dots around the spots to create a more animal print effect and this is what you will get..

Ad some gems in the centre of your now and a top coat... Tidy up your nails if you need to and there you have grandieng leopard print bows!!
